Content Guidelines

The Do's and Don'ts of Listing Information on Zvents:

Do:

  • For Events: Include all the things you want people to know about your event, and make it as accurate and useful as possible.
    • Help people understand what the event is about by including a description.
    • Include all relevant information about the venue, including necessary tips on parking or public transportation options.
    • Update your listing if the event changes - especially if it is cancelled!
    • Add a picture, because it makes your listing more attractive to other users. Make sure you have the appropriate rights to any graphics or pictures you include - this is also your responsibility.
    • Tag your event. Tags are keywords you (as the event creator) can add to help users find your event.
  • For Venues: Include information that is useful for people to know about your business, and make it as accurate as possible.
    • Include a description.

  • For Performers: Include information about the performer or group that is useful for people to know.
    • Include a description.
    • Add a picture, because it makes your listing more attractive to other users. Make sure you have the appropriate rights to any graphics or pictures you include - this is also your responsibility.
    • Tag your profile. If youĂ­re submitting a band, tag your listing with the names of other bands that are similar.
  • Bear in mind that we do not edit or review the information you provide, and the responsibility for the content is yours.

Don't:

  • Upset other users by including anything that is offensive, indecent or objectionable.
  • Force us to remove your listing and possibly your right to list events by including anything that:
    • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
    • Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights.
    • Is unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, or any other form of prohibited solicitation.
    • Contains images or text that is obscene or pornographic in nature.
    • Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely states or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity.
    • Contains contact information about an individual other than yourself.
  • break any laws.

If we believe your listing should be removed in the interest of our users we will do so.
